Ona hat sich diesmal etwas mehr Zeit in der Trächtigkeit gelassen, so dass wir schon seit Anfang der Woche Tag und Nacht auf die Geburt gewartet haben. Alles war vorbereitet. Ona hatte das Schlafzimmer mit mir alleine und wechselte von der Wurfkiste zum Kissen unterm Schreibtisch hin und her. Immer wieder kam sie zu mir und ließ sich den Rücken massieren. Egal zu welcher Tag- oder Nachtzeit. Ich habe gemerkt, dass ihr das sehr hilft und mache das dann natürlich sehr gerne.
Gestern, am 3 Adventssonntag war es dann endlich soweit. Gegen Mittag fingen die Presswehen an und im Laufe des Nachmittags wurden 8 wunderschöne Welpen geboren. Es sind 3 Rüden und 5 Hündinnen. Ona hat alles so perfekt gemacht. Sie hat keinen Mucks während der Geburt von sich gegeben und mir vertrauensvoll die Hilfe während der Geburt gestattet. Es ist faszinierend, wie sie mich anschaute, wenn eine Wehe im Anmarsch war. Ich habe sie gleich verstanden und war bereit, ihr zu helfen. Nun bin ich froh und dankbar, dass es allen Welpen soweit gut geht. Sie trinken und sind zufrieden. Ona genießt ihre Mutterschaft und versorgt die Welpen vorbildlich.
