Die Familie von Happy hatte ihren vorherigen Hund viele schöne Jahre begleitet und als dieser in hohem Alter verstorben war ergab sich eine große Leere in der Familie. Der Schmerz war groß und die Überlegung wieder einen Hund aufzunehmen schlich sich langsam ins trauernde Herz.
Auf Empfehlung einer Freundin kamen sie zu uns zum Welpen gucken und waren in der Entscheidung offen. Die kleine Happy (Zula vom Mühlenbusch) war bis zum Besuch der Familie bei uns eher zurückhaltend und hatte ihren Geschwistern bei den anderen Besuchern immer den Vortritt gelassen. Selbst bei den Welpenfotos verzog sie immer eine Miene und sah eher aus wie „Grumpy-Cat“. Ich hatte den Eindruck, sie wollte nicht fotografiert werden, weil „ihre Familie“ noch nicht so weit war.
Als aber dann ihre neue Familie bei uns erschien und mit den Kindern ins Welpengehege kam, lief Happy gleich hin und schmuste sich in die Herzen der Familie. Ich traute meinen Augen kaum und da war die Entscheidung natürlich getroffen.
Von diesem Tag an, wurde Happy immer schöner und hat sich zu einem wunderschönen und sehr fotogenen Schwan gemausert. Wie das Leben doch so spielt.
