Nur kurz nachdem ich erfahren habe, dass Lewis (Amadeus vom Mühlenbusch) mit 17,5 Jahren den Weg ins Regenbogenland unternommen hat, erhielt ich die Nachricht, dass in dieser Woche auch Champ mit fast 14 Jahren diesen Weg angetreten hat.
Es ist so traurig, dass die Hunde uns nur einen Teil unseres Weges begleiten dürfen und wir nach so vielen schönen Jahren und Erlebnissen Abschied von unseren lieben Familienmitgliedern nehmen müssen. Wir müssen den Abschiedsschmerz auf uns nehmen, um unseren Schätzen weiteres Leid zu ersparen. Sie haben uns viele Jahre glücklich gemacht und dürfen jetzt in Frieden für immer einschlafen.
Nun läuft Champ mit seiner Mama Anna, Oma Zandy sowie Schwester Chiwah über die Wiesen im Regenbogenland. Das ist eine schöne Vorstellung, die mich zur Zeit tröstet, selbst wenn es nur eine Wunschvorstellung sein sollte.
