Im Juni gab es bei uns nochmal Nachwuchs, aber diesmal nicht mit Fell und Pfoten, sondern mit Federn.
Mitte Juni entdeckte ich in meiner Garage immer wieder einmal ein kleines Vögelchen und dachte erst, es hätte sich verflogen. Aber dann habe ich bemerkt, dass im Gardena Schlauchhalter – der mittlerweile nur als Aufhängung für die Schleppleinen dient – ein Vogelnest gebaut worden ist. Darin befanden sich sogar schon 5 Eier!
Da es jedoch nach vorne offen war, habe ich es vorsichtig mit einer Holzleiste abgesichert, damit später kein Vögelchen aus dem Nest fallen kann. Mein Auto muss nun für die nächsten Wochen vor der Garage stehen, damit die Aufzucht nicht so oft gestört wird. Damit Mama Piep – es ist übrigens ein Rotkehlchen – es etwas einfacher hat, habe ich ihr eine flache Schale mit Wasser in die Garage gestellt, in der sie baden oder Wasser trinken kann. Ausserdem habe ich eine Schubkarre mit Komposterde in die Garage gestellt, in die ich ab und zu frische Würmer nachfülle.
Inzwischen sind die Kleinen schon geschlüpft und Mama versorgt sie fleissig mit Insekten.
Hoffentlich schaffen es alle Kleinen durchzukommen und ein schönes Vogelleben im Mühlenbusch zu führen.
Eigentlich hat Mama Piep durch den Nestbau in der Garage die besten Voraussetzungen geschaffen. Dort ist es schattig, trocken, windstill und kühl. Es gibt genug Insekten und es kann sogar später in der Garage der Flug geübt werden ohne dass Katzen in der Nähe sind. Perfekt.

Auf einem Spaziergang ist Filou (Justin vom Mb) auf den 13jährigen Elmo vom Mühlenbusch getroffen und hat mir ein paar Fotos geschickt. Ich bin so glücklich, dass es Elmo noch immer so gut geht und habe mich sehr über die Fotos gefreut.

Unsere Cindy ist zu einer Familie mit Kindern gezogen und begleitet ihr Frauchen regelmäßig in die Praxis. Dort kann sie sich entweder in einem ruhigen Bereich aufhalten oder darf auch mit in die Behandlungsräume gehen, je nach Wunsch der Patienten. Sie hat sich wunderbar in das Leben der Familie eingefügt und begeistert dort täglich alle Menschen, denen sie begegnet.

Die Familie von Happy hatte ihren vorherigen Hund viele schöne Jahre begleitet und als dieser in hohem Alter verstorben war ergab sich eine große Leere in der Familie. Der Schmerz war groß und die Überlegung wieder einen Hund aufzunehmen schlich sich langsam ins trauernde Herz.
Auf Empfehlung einer Freundin kamen sie zu uns zum Welpen gucken und waren in der Entscheidung offen. Die kleine Happy (Zula vom Mühlenbusch) war bis zum Besuch der Familie bei uns eher zurückhaltend und hatte ihren Geschwistern bei den anderen Besuchern immer den Vortritt gelassen. Selbst bei den Welpenfotos verzog sie immer eine Miene und sah eher aus wie „Grumpy-Cat“. Ich hatte den Eindruck, sie wollte nicht fotografiert werden, weil „ihre Familie“ noch nicht so weit war.
Als aber dann ihre neue Familie bei uns erschien und mit den Kindern ins Welpengehege kam, lief Happy gleich hin und schmuste sich in die Herzen der Familie. Ich traute meinen Augen kaum und da war die Entscheidung natürlich getroffen.
Von diesem Tag an, wurde Happy immer schöner und hat sich zu einem wunderschönen und sehr fotogenen Schwan gemausert. Wie das Leben doch so spielt.

In der Familie von Phino (Fynn vom Mühlenbusch) leben 3 Jungs und es war an der Zeit, dass noch ein Familienhund in die Familie einzieht. Also haben sie sich bei uns nach einem passenden Liebling umgeschaut. Es war eine schöne Zeit des Kennenlernens und der regelmäßigen Welpenbesuche. Gemeinsam wird nun der Alltag gelebt, die Ferien und der Urlaub verbracht. Die Jungs haben immer einen Spielkameraden, auch wenn die Geschwister mal keine Lust haben. Er hat immer ein offenes Ohr und ist stets gut gelaunt. Ein Leben ohne ihn ist nicht mehr vorstellbar.

Inzwischen sind unsere P-chen schon 3 Wochen alt. Sie erkunden die Wurfkiste mit kleinen Schritten und waren auch schon auf einer kuscheligen Decke im kleinen Auslauf auf der Terrasse. Das war aber noch nicht so interessant und es wurde auch dort fast nur geschlafen. Das wird sich in den nächsten Wochen noch rasant verändern.

Funny ist eine süße kleine Glatthar Hündin. Sie ist zu ihrer Familie nach Köln gezogen und genießt sowohl das Leben in Köln, welches auch viele Parkanlagen und schöne Spaziergeh-Gebiete hat, als auch die Ausflüge in die weitere Umgebung oder Urlaube in Nord und Süd.

Inu liebt es mit der Familie in Urlaub zu fahren. Es wird gemütlich in der Ferienwohnung gefrühstückt und dann geht es auf zum Spaziergang oder Ausflug, bis dann am Nachmittag im Garten der Ferienwohnung entspannt oder am Abend auf dem Sofa oder im Bett gekuschelt wird.
