Im Leben und im Tod geht es nicht der Reihe nach. Ich habe gehofft, dass mein Benji noch den 13. Geburtstag im Juli erleben darf, aber leider haben wir uns schon 2 Monate vorher verabschieden müssen. Nach einem wunderschönen Sonnentag mit einem Spaziergang in neuem Gebiet, in dem er viel schnüffeln konnte und einer leckeren Fleischmahlzeit, die er genüsslich verspeiste, ging es ihm spät abends plötzlich so schlecht, dass wir zum Tierarzt fuhren. Die Untersuchung bestätigte, was ich befürchtet hatte, so dass ich gemeinsam mit meinem Tierarzt entschieden habe, ihn auf die Reise ins Regenbogenland zu schicken. Er ist in meinen Armen friedlich eingeschlafen.
Danke Benji, dass Du ein Teil meines Lebens warst und immer bleiben wirst. Du warst mein Fels in der Brandung! Hast mir gezeigt, dass ein Rüde ein Rudel erst komplett macht und warst der souveräne Part in unserem Haus. Ein stolzer und liebevoller Rüde, immer freundlich und friedlich. Hast auch andere Rüden im Haus geduldet und trotzdem deinen Respekt erhalten. Du warst ein ganz besonderer Hund und wirst immer ganz fest in meinem Herzen bleiben! Ich vermisse dich schon jetzt ganz arg.
