Dusty (Quax) macht sich prächtig im neuen Zuhause. Er hat auch schon viel erlebt und das mit Bravour gemeistert: So hat er sich beim Ordnungsamt angemeldet, hat Fressnapf besichtigt und sich beim Tierarzt vorgestellt. Er hat die Postbotin mit ihrem großen Fahrrad begrüßt und viele Hunde und Nachbarn kennengelernt. Auch frisst er jetzt so gut, dass seine Portionen über den Tag aufgeteilt werden müssen. Seine neue Familie liebt er schon so sehr, wie sie ihn. Er ist einfach herrlich. Karnevalssamstag war dann sein vorerst größtes Erlebnis - Ein Ausflug nach Düsseldorf. So viele neue Eindrücke waren für ihn irre: Tiefgarage, Menschen in Karnevalskostümen und deren Musik, Rolltreppen, Strassenbahnen, tolle Gerüche auf dem Markt und unzählige Menschen die ihn unheimlich süß fanden und ihn bestaunt haben. Er hat das alles mit erstaunlicher Ruhe "ertragen". Verständlicherweise war er etwas aufgeregt, hat aber nicht die geringste Angst gezeigt. Jetzt sollte eigentlich fast ganz Düsseldorf die Rasse "Canilo" kennen.
