Am 25. November ist unser R-Wurf auf die Welt gekommen. Die Geburt begann am Nachmittag. Um 14:47 Uhr kam mit Ronja die erste Hündin (250 gr.) und kurz danach, um 14:59 Uhr Rudi als erster Rüde (293 gr.). Dann mussten die anderen Welpen erstmal nachrutschen und um 15:34 Uhr kam ein weiterer Rüde Rocky (276 gr.) und um 16:08 Uhr sein Bruder Rusty (282 gr.). Eine Stunde später kam um 17:08 Uhr mit Randy (234 gr.) nochmals männliche Verstärkung. Kurz danach gesellte sich um 17:23 Uhr die kleine Rose (236 gr.) zu ihren Geschwistern. Schließlich kamen um 17:32 Uhr noch ein Rüde Robbie (258 gr.) und eine Hündin Rayka (292 gr.) auf die Welt.
Alles lief ohne Probleme, die Welpen waren fit und munter. Honami hat die Geburt prima gemeistert und wir dachten, dass nun alles gut überstanden war ...
Leider ist dann etwas schreckliches passiert. Nachdem ich mit Honami im Garten war und sie nun wieder bei Ihren Welpen in der Wurfkiste lag, hielt ich mich im Nebenraum auf, um etwas zu essen. Während dieser Zeit muss die kleine Rose unter ihre Mama gekrabbelt sein, denn als ich wieder nach den Welpen schaute und Rose nicht fand, hob ich Honami hoch und sah die kleine Rose unter ihrer Mami liegen und nicht mehr atmen. Alle Versuche, sie zu reanimieren mit Herzmassage, Mund-zu-Mund Beatmung und Massage waren vergeblich. Leider konnten wir die kleine Rose nicht mehr zu uns zurück holen. Die Trauer um Rose ist so groß. Warum hat die kleine Maus sich auf die Welt gekämpft und konnte nur ein paar Stunden bei uns bleiben? Hätte ich das vermeiden können? Vorwürfe und Tränen begleiteten mich in die unruhige Nacht.
Jetzt schläft Rose in meinem Rosenbeet und wird für immer bei uns und in unseren Herzen bleiben. Gute Reise ins Regenbogenland mein kleiner Engel. Auch wenn unsere gemeinsame Zeit so grausam kurz war, war sie voller Liebe und wir werden Dich nicht vergessen!
Rose hat mir wieder einmal gezeigt, wie zart und wertvoll das Geschenk "Leben" ist. Nichts ist für immer und wir sollten jede Minute unseres Lebens genießen.
Den anderen Welpen und Honami geht es gut. Auch wenn die Trauer um Rose die Freude überschattet, muss ich lernen, mich wieder über diesen wunderschönen Wurf zu freuen.

Heute hatten wir den Ultraschalltermin für Honami und auch bei ihr konnten wir voller Freude sehen, dass sie ein paar kleine Filous im Bauch hat. Die Mini-Herzchen haben wir bumpern sehen und der Tierarzt meinte, dass alles im grünen Bereich ist.
Auch bei Honami hat sich der Tierarzt jedoch nicht zur Anzahl festlegen wollen, so dass es spannend bleibt, aber es sind auch bei ihr ein paar Geschwister. Nun hoffen wir, dass alle weiterhin so gut wachsen und gesund und munter die Geburt überstehen.
